HOW TO BUY A NEW WEBSITE FROM US
Here’s how it works. We ask what you want on your website. We design the website for you, host it for you, upload it for you, maintain it for you, and install the Map Element for you. If you’re not tech savvy, don’t worry. The most you need to be able to do is check email.
Website Setup Process:
- Contact us by clicking here.
- We schedule a week where we will complete your site (we’re usually booked 3 months out.)
- We email you a list of homework:
- Description of your business
- Contact information
- Fax us a drawing of your facility
- Email us photos of your facility
- Tell us what website address you want (unless you’ve registered one on your own)
- Fill out a merchant account application (unless you’ve set one up on your own)
- Send us a check for the down payment
- Sign and fax sales contract
- We spend an entire week designing the following for your website:
- Contact us form
- Banner and other graphics (which can later be used for business cards)
- Home page
- Map Element
- About us
- Any other pages that you want for the website
- We spend 30 minutes on the phone with you showing you how to use the Map Element
- You start accepting reservations online
How your units will be reserved online
- People do a Google or Yahoo search and find you
- Due to our web optimization, your website appears near the top of the search
- Customer clicks on the name of your website
- They click on a link that shows a map of all of your storage units ()
- Every storage unit, unit description, price, and units availability is displayed
- They click on the available unit that they want.
- They see more information about the unit, including a general picture of what this unit looks like. There is also an illustration that shows what the unit can hold. It is also explained to them the details and restrictions of their purchase.
- They use their credit card to pay online. The space cannot be rented by another online customer unless you change the unit's status on the map.
- Person physically visits your business and sets up the auto pay (recurring billing), fills out a contract, and gets the keys to their storage unit.

HOW TO INSTALL MAP ELEMENT INTO YOUR EXISTING WEBSITE

If you already paid someone to design a website for your self-storage, RV storage, mobile home park, convention center, farmer's market, or boat storage facility; we can install the Map Element into that existing website. Then we will support the Map Element once it’s installed. If you’re not tech savvy, don’t worry. The most you need to be able to do is check email.

HOW MAP ELEMENT CHARGES CREDIT CARDS

Merchant Accounts
Your Map Element is connected to a merchant account, which charges clients' credit cards and settles funds into your bank account. If a renter for a storage unit, booth, boat storage, mobile home park, or RV storage spot online, they will click on the available storage unit. If the unit is available, the website visitor will be prompted to enter his or her credit card information. If the credit card has enough funds, the money will be settled into your business bank account. The online renter will have the unit for one month. They are instructed to visit your facility within the month to sign their contract, setup recurring billing, and pick up the keys for their unit.
What do I get if I sign up with a merchant account through Map Element?
- Recurring billing – If you want, Map Element has been authorized to set up your Authorize.net merchant account. Authorize.net is the largest provider of online merchant accounts on earth. Having such a merchant account will allow you to charge your clients’ credit cards weekly or monthly for however long you want. Every month you’ll receive a paper statement explaining your charges. Emails will be sent to you listing every credit card that was charged with the contact information for each person who was charged. The paper statements will also show which credit card charges were declined.
- Online terminal – With our merchant account, you can charge client credit cards one time as well. With our merchant accounts, you can turn your computer into an online credit card terminal.

- Once you are approved, we will setup your Map Element to accept credit cards. Funds will be directly deposited into your bank account.
*If you already have a merchant account to process credit cards, we may be able to integrate the site with your current vendor.
